Successful Aging: It Takes a Plan

Caring for a loved one and planning for the future can be a daunting task. Not everyone is a planner, and people have different levels of comfort with outlining a path for the future. This presentation will focus on creating a plan and utilizing available community resources. Additionally, it will emphasize support mechanisms that help the care partner remain healthy.

Join Maureen Lawrence, Outreach Coordinator with Elder Care Management as she discusses how:

  • To address legal, medical, and financial plans

  • To understand different levels of care and who pays for what

  • To utilize formal and informal resources and support

  • To manage a crisis situation

  • To explain hospice and palliative care
