ALS Overview: Symptoms, Diagnosis, & Caregiving

  • ONLINE (via Zoom) (map)

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is a fatal neurodegenerative disease that affects the muscles in the body and can lead those diagnosed to lose their ability to talk, walk, eat, and breathe. In this presentation, join Shawna Stinson Barcklay, Manager of the Caregiver Support Program for the ALS Association's Western Region, to learn more about ALS symptoms, the diagnosis, the progression of this disease, and the unique caregiving tools required.

If you need someone to take care of your loved one in order to participate, respite may be available. Please request it no later than April 18, 2023 by calling Del Oro directly at 916-728-9333.
