Elder abuse and financial exploitation has grown significantly over the past decade with one in nine seniors reporting abuse within the last twelve months. Financial exploitation is commonly underreported with only 1 in 44 cases reported to investigative entities. Join Sac County Adult Protective Services representative Amanda Benedickt for this presentation, which is designed to help care providers understand types of abuse as well as common signs of various abuse. Additionally, further information on the most common scams impacting our elders and what can be done to help protect them.
