Dementia Caregiver Education Series (Session 2)

  • Holy Trinity Parish (View Room) 3111 Tierra De Dios Drive El Dorado Hills, CA, 95762 United States (map)

Part 1: Understanding Alzheimer's and Dementia

Alzheimer's disease is not a normal part of aging. In this presentation, learn more about the impact of Alzheimer's, the difference between Alzheimer's and dementia, stages and risk factors, current research and treatments available for some symptoms, and Alzheimer's Association resources for aging.

Part 2: Caregiving Today--It's a Balancing Act

Caregivers can exemplify compassion and nurturing toward others while often failing to take care of themselves. If you are a caregiver, finding value in your role and knowing your limitations can be critical to your success. Research shows that 65% of caregivers suffer from a major health event before the person who is receiving care. Becoming educated and knowledgeable about the journey ahead can make all the difference.
