Laughter Wellness & Resilience Series: Why We Need to Laugh (Session 1)

Staying positive while being able to bounce back from the daily stresses of caregiving is always a challenge. Did you know that proper breathing techniques combined with unconditional laughter can decrease tension, elevate mood, help reduce pain and anxiety, create healthier social interaction and improve our oxygenation, circulation, muscles and immune system? Join Certified Laughter Yoga Trainer Linda Kalb Hamm, M.Ed., for this special series designed to help family caregivers assist their loved ones more effectively and engage in better self care by laughing their angst off!

SESSION 1: Why We Need to Laugh
We all think we know how to laugh, but you may be surprised when you test your “unconditional laughter quotient!” Don’t worry, once you learn more about the medically proven effects of spontaneous laughter on mind and body, you will understand why laughter can become an essential tool for both caregiver and care receiver. And you’ll leave the first session with some simple breathing, giggling and eye contact skills to practice right away.
