Mindfulness-Based Dementia Care (MBDC)--Week 2

  • Online (via ZOOM) (map)

Mindfulness Based Dementia Care (MBDC) is an evidenced-based, eight-week program designed for family caregivers of people with Alzheimer’s Disease and related dementias. MBDC offers invaluable tools and resources for dealing with the unique stressors associated with dementia care, especially those that can become mentally, physically, and emotionally overwhelming to the caregiver. Join Ymkje Dioquino of the Presence Care Project for an opportunity to explore, deepen and enhance your coping skills, and build resilience so you may navigate difficulty with greater ease. Each session consists of formal meditations and informal mindfulness practices, conversations and dementia related education. Participants will receive a FREE workbook and access to recordings to use in-between sessions.

NOTE: this class is an eight-week commitment, and the cohort will remain small.

If you need someone to take care of your loved one in order to participate, respite may be available. Please request it no later than April 22, 2022 by calling Del Oro directly at 916-728-9333.
