Caregiver Survival Training--"Dad Did What?!!!! Managing Dementia-Related Challenging Behaviors” VIDEO RELEASE

Understanding and managing dementia-related behaviors is a challenge for family and professional caregivers alike. When an individual starts displaying surprising and inappropriate sexual behavior, it becomes even more difficult. We hope you’ll join us to view the release of Elaine’s video, “Dad Did What?” on Monday, September 21st, and then participate in the live, interactive group discussion on Wednesday, September 23rd. This session will help you:

  • Discover the three strategies that NEVER work when trying to manage the behavior of a person who is living with dementia

  • Examine the types of underlying issues that can lead to behaviors that are hard to manage

  • Learn how joining them in their reality and compassionate deception  can reduce stress for both you and your care receiver

  • Understand and respond to surprising and inappropriate sexual behavior
