Join us in person as the Alzheimer’s Association and Del Oro Caregiver Resource Center provide a morning of Dementia Caregiving Education at Kaiser Roseville Medical Center.

UNDERSTANDING ALZHEIMER’S AND DEMENTIA

Alzheimer’s is not normal aging. It’s a disease of the brain that causes problems with memory, thinking and behavior. Join us to learn about the impact of Alzheimer’s, the difference between Alzheimer’s and dementia, Alzheimer’s disease stages and risk factors, current research and treatments available to address some symptoms, and Alzheimer’s Association resources.

CARING FOR THE CAREGIVER: SELF-CARE STRATEGIES TO AVOID BURNOUT

Caring for a loved one is challenging, both physically and emotionally.  Although you cannot stop the impact of your loved one’s illness, you can take responsibility for your own personal well-being.  Come learn practical ways to cope with the stress of caring for someone while thriving as an individual.
